I had a wonderful stay at a huge hotel near the boat harbor with easy access to Shiretoko National Park. The enormous size of the hotel was impressive, with a shopping mall and an immense buffet-style dining room that served every imaginable food from around the world. The dessert bar was a kid's dream with a chocolate waterfall, crepe pancakes, shaved ice, and candy floss. The room had a lovely modern design with a Japanese ambiance, complete with futons on raised platforms and roll-out ones for the kids on the tatami floor. The private family o-furo bath was a delight, and I also treated myself to a phenomenal lymphatic massage. Despite the hotel being busy, the massage lady provided excellent value for money. I highly recommend this hotel for its size, amenities, and fantastic dining options.

There were a few drawbacks to my stay. The breakfast closing time was a bit early, and the staff started clearing away the food 5-10 minutes before the allocated closing time.

Good choice of restaurants to eat close by, like Marusukoi that was only 5 minutes' walk away. We could see godzilla rock from our window.

Fantastic base for a vacation in Shari! The location was about a 10-minute walk to sea of okhotsk.

The Onsen was incredible, with a jacuzzi pool, water massage pool, and outdoor pool, all very clean and well-maintained. The dressing room was spacious and well-equipped. The breakfast room was impressive, with floor to ceiling windows offering a beautiful view. The hotel also had a huge gift and food shop, and the staff was friendly and helpful despite the language barrier.

My room was spacious and had a breathtaking scenic view. The onsen here is massive, with multiple bath areas to choose from. In addition, the breakfast and dinner buffets offered an extensive selection of gourmet dishes, including rare treats like crab legs.

For families looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay, I highly recommend this place.

The buffet was amazing with lots of variety. Our room was large and spacious, perfect for a family. The view from our room was stunning and made up for the location being a bit far from the town. They offered a free shuttle service to nearby cities which made getting around easier. there were plenty of activities to do within the hotel like shopping and enjoying the onsen baths. The staff were also friendly and helpful.

The location was a bit of a downside as it was up on a hill and far from the snow festival spot and convenience stores. The shuttle service can only go so far and walking can be a bit of a hassle.

Everything is what I need and want.

The dinner buffet was fantastic with plenty of tasty options. I also enjoyed the spacious family bath and the dried plum treats in the room. Additionally, the hotel's location was very convenient for accessing Shiretoko and exploring the surrounding area.

The breakfast menu didn't change during our five-night stay and it closed too early at 9:15 AM. It felt like the staff were rushing us out by 9:45 AM. The shuttle bus from the train station was a hassle, only leaving at one specific time, and not accommodating for passengers coming from different directions. Additionally, the hotel's wifi quality was below par.

As seniors, we really enjoyed the breathtaking views and variety of buffets at Shizen Wing. The hotel's immense gift and food shop was a pleasant surprise. Despite limited English-speaking staff, they made an effort to assist us. The convenience of the hotel van between Utaro and the hotel, as well as the helpful local bus staff, ensured smooth transportation. The off-season stay may have limited excursion options, but the Shiretoko Nature Park walk was still enjoyable. We were thankful for the coin laundry facility.
